Food For Life Vrindavan UK Ltd was set up by a group of like-minded individuals all personally touched by the activities of Food For Life Vrindavan Society in India, and in particular the dedication of its International Co-ordinator, Rupa Raghunath Das to the children that India and the world has forgotten - the street children.
Our aim is to support Food For Life Vrindavan Society in its objective of giving all children in its care the opportunity to live fulfilled lives and become model citizens supporting the community they live in.
Our approach is to involve not only our immediate community, but also the wider community that we live in within the UK. To that end, our supporter base is now gradually becoming more geographically spread within the UK. This has been as a result of an extended info-advertising campaign sponsored by a generous supporter, Sow and Reap Ltd, in Asian Voice and Gujarat Samachar; Additionally there has been coverage for Rupa Raghunath Das in Netscape magazine and event coverage in 2007 on MATV.
We continue to look for dedicated volunteers and supporters who will work with us, helping raise awareness, support and funds. Please see our section on Upcoming Projects to find out how you can help. |
